Jeff Daniel, President & Chief Executive Officer
Jeff joined Burtek in 2009 and is the President & Chief Executive Officer and also a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Jeff is responsible for leading Burtek’s day-to-day management and establishing the overall corporate development & strategy.
Jeff has extensive knowledge and experience in executive leadership, strategic development & turnaround management. Prior to Burtek, Jeff worked for several Fortune 250 and private industry companies. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from University of Michigan.
Mike Cass, Vice President-Program Management & Business Development
Mike joined Burtek in 2010 and is the Vice President–Program Management & Business Development. Mike is responsible for leading the business development pursuit and execution of Burtek’s Commercial, Aerospace, Border & Homeland Security, and Defense programs.
Mike has over 25 years of engineering and business development experience working in the commercial, aerospace, and defense industries. Prior to joining Burtek, Mike held several key engineering and sales leadership positions with Lear Corporation and IAC, both leading global manufacturing organizations. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Administration from Central Michigan University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Leadership from Central Michigan University.
Dave Salkowski, Vice President-Finance
Dave joined Burtek in 2008 and is the Vice President-Finance. Dave is responsible for leading Burtek’s finance, supply chain, treasury and tax activities.
Dave has over 18 years of corporate and operational finance experience. Dave began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young LLP. Prior to joining Burtek, Dave held financial management and corporate development roles for private equity owned and various Tier 1 automotive companies. Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Wayne State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Pat McAleer, Vice President-Engineering
Pat joined Burtek in 2006 and is the Vice President-Engineering. Pat is responsible for leading Burtek’s design engineering, process engineering, cost estimating and production control activities.
Prior to joining Burtek, Pat held engineering management and leadership positions at Visteon Corporation and Autosystems. Pat earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Wayne State University.
Kevin Schrage, Vice President-Administration & General Counsel
Kevin joined Burtek in 2008 and is Vice President-Administration & General Counsel. Kevin is responsible for leading Burtek’s administrative, legal, and corporate risk & compliance activities.
Prior to joining Burtek, Kevin worked in a law firm focused on business and corporate law and clerked in the Third Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business from the University of South Carolina and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Detroit Mercy.
